Last night I attended my friend's wedding a little way from home and, as is so easily done when there's free wine on the table, drank a little too much. I got a lift back home from a friend and decided (with a mind only slightly altered by wine) to walk to collect my car the following day.
Today came and an expedition to collect the car still sounded like a good plan so I marked out a route. It turns out, the car was 8.5 miles away, mostly along beautiful footpaths and country roads.
A slightly more exciting and cheaper method of retrieving a car after a night out than getting a taxi.
